Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group announces new partnership with The International Journal of Psychoanalysis
Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group is delighted to announce a new publishing partnership with The International Journal of Psychoanalysis.
From January 2018, Routledge will publish The International Journal of Psychoanalysis and its Spanish counterpart, The International Journal of Psychoanalysis (en español). These fully peer-reviewed international journals publish six times a year on psychoanalytic theory and technique, the history of psychoanalysis, clinical contributions, education and professional issues, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, interdisciplinary studies, and film essays. With a readership of over 9,000 including students, trainees, practitioners, and academics in the fields of clinical and theoretical psychoanalysis, these publications have enjoyed a key role in international psychoanalysis communication since The International Journal of Psychoanalysis’s launch.
The International Journal of Psychoanalysis is the leading international vehicle for communication about psychoanalysis, with global reach and readership, publishing extensive contributions by authors throughout the world. Founded in 1920 by Ernest Jones with the collaboration of Sigmund Freud, it is the only psychoanalytic journal to accept articles in six different languages. This is made possible by an extensive network of editors and editorial board members. The journal is published in print and online six times a year.
Dana Birkstead-Breen, Editor in Chief of The International Journal of Psychoanalysis, said: “As we approach the publication of our 100th volume and the celebration of our Centenary in 2019 we are delighted at the prospect of a new collaboration with Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, well known for its interest in psychoanalytic publications. Through this new partnership, The International Journal of Psychoanalysis will continue its role as the leading international vehicle for communication about psychoanalysis, develop its relationships with international groups, and further extend its readership into new regions.”
Adam Burbage, Publisher of psychoanalysis journals at Routledge commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with The International Journal of Psychoanalysis. Our prestigious and long-standing books and journals programs in psychoanalysis mean that this is a field and a community that we already feel very much part of and are immensely proud to serve. Our new partnership with The International Journal of Psychoanalysis from 2018 strengthens and deepens that commitment immeasurably and we are very excited to have the opportunity of working with the leading international journal in the field.”
