Routledge and CRC Press give two authors the Taylor and Francis Lifetime Achievement Award

Routledge and CRC Press are giving two authors the Taylor and Francis Lifetime Achievement Award an award given to “authors who have made truly outstanding contributions to the scientific literature due to their exceptional competence in publishing and writing”. Below is the Award for authors.

“Dr. Qihao Weng’s outstanding record of publications encapsulates the award’s intent to honor our authors. Dr. Weng has made significant and pioneering contributions in the field of geography, and his extensive publication record includes books, book chapters, and articles in prestigious Taylor and Francis journals. He serves as the Editor of two important book series: “Taylor and Francis Series in Remote Sensing Applications” and “Taylor and Francis Series in Imaging Science.” Dr. Weng is dedicated to developing these series with important contributions from leaders in related disciplines, and from the prominent young authors and scientists he’s mentored as an accomplished teacher.”

“Professor Noel Castree’s outstanding record of publications encapsulates the award’s intent to honor our authors. Professor Castree has made significant and pioneering contributions in the discipline of geography and allied fields.  His  extensive publication record includes books, book chapters, and articles in prestigious journals.  He serves as the co-editor of our flagship book series: “Key Ideas In Geography”.  In addition he has authored a number of influential Routledge tiles including: Nature, Making Sense of Nature and The Companion to Environmental Studies.’’

The awards will be given at the AAG Awards Luncheon at the upcoming American Association of Geographers’ Annual Meeting in Washington DC, Sunday, April 7, 11:45 am – 2:00 pm.
