Taylor & Francis Group and the Consortium for Swiss Academic Libraries sign transformative agreement

Swiss Research

Taylor & Francis Group and The Consortium for Swiss Academic Libraries are partnering in a three year ‘read and publish’ deal, providing access to journals’ content alongside open access publishing for academics at member institutions.

Researchers from the 26 participating Swiss institutions will be able to publish in the vast majority of Open Select (Hybrid) and in all Full Gold OA journals.  Their article publishing charges will be paid by their institutions via this agreement. They will also have access to articles across the Taylor & Francis Group journal portfolio.

“We are delighted to work with the Swiss Consortium to support academics in opening up their research to ensure the broadest reach and impact for their work. The agreement recognizes funders’ open research requirements so academics can choose open with us in the knowledge that they are compliant.” says Carolyn Kirby, Open Access Business Development Director at Taylor & Francis Group.

Susanne Aerni of the Consortium for Swiss Academic Libraries says: “We are proud to partner with Taylor & Francis Group on this read and publish deal, providing reading access and open access publishing in accordance with our action plan for implementing the Swiss open access strategy.”

In recent years, Taylor & Francis Group has converted over 50 journals to open access and has acquired F1000 Research, a fully open publishing platform. They offer a variety of open access publishing options to meet the needs of each author, with rapid online publication and high visibility and discoverability for published research.
