Boca Raton, FL – The Wildlife Society(TWS) is the preeminent international association of wildlife professionals dedicated to excellence in stewardship through science and education. CRC Press is delighted to have three out of five titles shortlisted in both the Authored Book and the Edited Book categories.

This is the first year the committee has created shortlists. This year committee members reviewed 40 nominated titles from 17 different publishers and scored them based on five criteria. Based on the scores from all committee members, 10 books received the highest total scores, six of which are published by CRC Press. The award recognizes excellence in scientific writing characterized by originality of research or thought and a high scholastic standard in the manner of presentation.

Here are the six CRC Press titles that have been shortlisted in each category:

This is the first major shortlist for all the above, except for Urban Wildlife Management, by Clark Adams, which has been previously nominated for this award and is a Choice Outstanding Academic Title. He is receiving this honor posthumously.
