Taylor & Francis forms new publishing partnership with the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists

20th September 2018

Taylor & Francis is delighted to announce a new publishing partnership with the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG). From January 2019, Taylor & Francis will publish the society’s eminent bi-monthly journal Exploration Geophysics, and member magazine Preview.

Exploration Geophysics is a peer-reviewed forum for scientific papers from members of the ASEG and their partner societies, Society of Exploration Geophysicists of Japan (SEGJ) and Korean Society of Earth and Exploration Geophysicists (KSEG). The journal publishes ground-breaking research in exploration and applied geophysics, recording the extraordinary growth and achievements in science breakthroughs, innovations, new technologies, practices and discoveries in this field for almost 50 years.

Preview is a highly-regarded magazine published for members of the ASEG. Also published bi-monthly, Preview contains the latest news, commentaries, easy-to-read reviews, and case studies for exploration geophysicists around the world.

Exploration Geophysics and Preview make excellent additions to Taylor & Francis’ existing portfolio of earth sciences titles. Taylor & Francis’ Global Publishing Director, Leon Heward-Mills, commented: “We are proud to be entering a partnership with the ASEG in the publication of Exploration Geophysics and Preview. This partnership includes affiliations with the SEGJ and KSEG; and we look forward to close collaborations with these societies, the Editors and their editorial teams to develop both titles further, enhancing the visibility of their content worldwide.  We are further delighted to be able to support the ASEG in its mission to promote the science of geophysics, especially as it applies to exploration; and to promote fellowship and cooperation among those with research and professional interests in the geophysical arena.”

The ASEG President, Marina Costelloe, added: “We are now excited to partner with Taylor & Francis Australasia to increase the impact of Exploration Geophysics and Preview and to take our geoscience, research and career training to a wider audience around the world.”

Exploration Geophysics is led by Managing Editor, Mark Lackie (Macquarie University, Australia) and two Co-Editors, Joongmoo Byun (Hanyang University, Korea) and Toshiyuki Yokota (Geological Survey of Japan), and supported by a diverse, international team of Associate Editors.

Lisa Worrall (Protean Geoscience Australia) is the Editor of Preview and is supported by a team of Associate Editors.
