Taylor & Francis Group and the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Nagasaki University announce new publishing partnership
From 2018, Taylor & Francis Group will publish the Journal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament in partnership with the prestigious Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Nagasaki University. The journal will be its first edited in East Asia to focus on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, enhancing the Group’s large list of International Relations, Strategic Studies and Defence Policy journals.
A fully Open Access journal, it will publish international research on nuclear disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation and arms control, crossing disciplinary boundaries in the humanities, natural and social sciences.
Through research and analysis, the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Nagasaki University aims to redefine the experiences of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As a core think tank on the political and diplomatic process aimed at the de-nuclearization of Northeast Asia, it disseminates information from Nagasaki to the world. This new English-language journal’s editor-in-chief will be Fumihiko Yoshida, Vice-Director of the Research Center.
“We are immensely proud to be working in partnership with the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition to publish the Journal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament. Through the journal, research on nuclear disarmament will have a platform to reach a global audience,” said Barry Clarke, Managing Director of Taylor & Francis Asia-Pacific. “As a fully Open Access journal, every research article published in the journal will be accessible to anyone with an interest in this ever-vital field, and we particularly look forward to seeing research from East Asia in its pages.”
